DAY 3

Today, drive to one of the most beautiful and diverse national park in the USA.

Olympic National Park, where glacier-tipped mountains rub elbows with rocky coastline

Since 1938, visitors have been enjoying Olympic National Park, one of the West’s great wilderness areas. Ninety-five percent of this largely roadless marvel is untouched and undeveloped, making it the perfect place for camping and backcountry exploration. In winter, snow-based activities are popular, and during the other three seasons, visitors love to discover its wooded expanses and extensive shoreline. Home to dozens of species of mammals and aquatic life, it’s not uncommon to see elk locking antlers, whales breaching the surface of the sea and salmon surging upstream.

DAY 4

This morning, meet your guide and enjoy a customizable adventure in the park. This private guided tour is one of our most rewarding experiences to facilitate. Create an itinerary specific to your hiking and sightseeing goals, which allows you to hike further or see more unique elements of Olympic National Park. Do you want to see more or do you want to do more? If seeing the most destinations is your goal, assemble itineraries that combine two of the top regions to experience Olympic’s incredible eco-diversity within a single day tour. If more hiking and less driving is your goal, select a specific hiking trail to fully immerse yourselves into an ecosystem during a single moderate day hike.

DAY 5

Continue your path around the Olympic National Park until reaching your next destination; the Lake Quinault. Covering more than 4,000 square kilometers of the Olympic Peninsula in the northeast corner of Washington state, Olympic National Park encompasses several distinctly different ecosystems and protects a rich mosaic of natural and cultural history. Untamed rivers flow from glacier-capped peaks through valleys of old-growth forests, waves crash against a shoreline rich with life and hiking trails traverse the vast interior of this stunning wilderness.

This unique tour takes you to the best photo points and you will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the rain forest on selected short walks. All 3 temperate rain forests in the contiguous United States are located in the Western Valleys of the Olympic Peninsula and this 33 mile journey will take you deep into Olympic National Forest and Olympic National Park to experience this pristine ecosystem first hand. Rain soaked mosses adorn big leaf maples and towering Sitka spruce while waterfalls cascade into crystal clear pools.

DAY 8

Enjoy a day at leisure and some family time at the beach at Cannon Beach.

Haystack Rock towers on the shoreline. Waterfalls cascade onto the sand at Hug Point. Marine life peeks out at low tide. It’s no wonder National Geographic listed Cannon Beach as one of the 100 most beautiful places in the world in 2013. Plus the city’s many art galleries, restaurants, boutiques and oceanfront lodging can easily spark your imagination.

DAY 9

Time to get back to the civilization as you are heading to your final destination; Portland.

A little bit creative, a little bit counter-culture, Portland is a year-round, always-evolving city that's home to a mindful community dedicated to keeping its city sustainable, innovative and accessible. There's an enviable public transit system, tax-free shopping and enormous in-city parks offering dozens of cultural attractions. Portland gives us music (from indie standards The Decemberists and The Shins, to hip hop's latest like Aminé and The Last Artful, Dodgr), eccentric characters to watch (“Portlandia”) and a craft brew scene like none other (they even have a Distillery Row now).
